Canada’s Pet Health Concerns that Benefit from Canadian Pet Health Insurance
Cancer and Tularemia are the two ailments for which the Canada’s Pet owners may want to get there pets insured.
Cancer is a part of tumor that attack bloodstreams and extend to other body parts. They are rigid enough to come back after treatment. It can only be treated by removing every infected cell. The surgery methods have helped save the pet’s life. The veterinary care at the nutrition level helped the removal of the disease but due to longer life, more pets were seen affected by cancer.
Symptoms of cancer in pets are inflammation, bleeding, sore etc. Complexity in eating and swallowing, uneasiness in breathing, urinal infection, fever and weight loss is what they normally suffer from. Go to your vet if your pet bears any such symptoms individually or collectively.
In the past, these symptoms would have led to a certain death of your pet. Early discovery of symptoms will lead to recovery of your pet, today. If detected early, removal of tumor would hail your pet. Surgery is a definite cure and if it is in its final stage, radiation technique can be used. This method involves the exposure of the cancer cells to radiation rays that kill the germ cells. For better cure, both surgery and radiation methods are used. Some other remedies used are nutritional support, grooming, ulcer prevention etc. Call your veterinarian & pet insurance agent immediately in case of these signs to increase your pet’s life.
Tularemia is yet another concern for Canadian Pets. This disease was disclosed in an advisory from the government on 2nd October, 2004. it is a bacterial disease found in rabbits and wild rodents. It is rarely found but is contagious to humans such as flu. It is rarely found in cats & dogs but spreads by water and eating of infectious animals such as rabbit. The symptoms are weakness, appetite loss and fever. The pet may die, if untreated. In curing it, the ticks are removed first & then it is given Strptomycin and Gentamycin for 1-2 weeks.
