Usually the dog harness is the piece of equipment that has some similarity with the harness tacks for the horses. Such harnesses come in multiple designs. Both working and non-working dogs can use such harness.
Guiding and providing mobility assistance, assistance dogs wear dog harness as part of their job. Sturdiness of the harness depends on the difficulty of the task to be accomplished. Sled dog harness on the other hand is for dogs hauling the freight or racing.
Broadly speaking there are three types of dog harness. These are freight, H-back, and X-back harness. Of course, a few new types are also coming up; the most prominent being the Y-back style that is growing the favorite of most people.
