Dirt and Grass:
If your puppy wants to spend more time in grassy area then it is a solid advice to you that you should spread grass and dirt in his kennel and provide him a good comfort.
Cement:
Cemented floor is also a good option to comply, if you want to see your dogs kennel neat. Cemented floor becomes wet after few minutes and it automatically absorbs the urine of the dog.
Carpet:
Carpeted floor is good for your dog in winter season to prevent from cold. Although it becomes dirty very soon, when your dog passes the stool but it provide a great comfort to your dog. The perception regarding floor of kennel varies from dog to dog.
