Cancer is a part of tumor that attack bloodstreams and extend to other body parts. They are rigid enough to come back after treatment. It can only be treated by removing every infected cell. The surgery methods have helped save the pet’s life. The veterinary care at the nutrition level helped the removal of the disease but due to longer life, more pets were seen affected by cancer.

Symptoms of cancer in pets are inflammation, bleeding, sore etc. Complexity in eating and swallowing, uneasiness in breathing, urinal infection, fever and weight loss is what they normally suffer from. Go to your vet if your pet bears any such symptoms individually or collectively.

In the past, these symptoms would have led to a certain death of your pet. Early discovery of symptoms will lead to recovery of your pet, today. If detected early, removal of tumor would hail your pet. Surgery is a definite cure and if it is in its final stage, radiation technique can be used. This method involves the exposure of the cancer cells to radiation rays that kill the germ cells. For better cure, both surgery and radiation methods are used. Some other remedies used are nutritional support, grooming, ulcer prevention etc. Call your veterinarian & pet insurance agent immediately in case of these signs to increase your pet’s life.

Tularemia is yet another concern for Canadian Pets. This disease was disclosed in an advisory from the government on 2nd October, 2004. it is a bacterial disease found in rabbits and wild rodents. It is rarely found but is contagious to humans such as flu. It is rarely found in cats & dogs but spreads by water and eating of infectious animals such as rabbit. The symptoms are weakness, appetite loss and fever. The pet may die, if untreated. In curing it, the ticks are removed first & then it is given Strptomycin and Gentamycin for 1-2 weeks.

25% of pet owners in Europe & 50% in Sweden carry a pet insurance policy, while only 3% of the owners in USA had the pet health insurance policy. This amount of pet insurance in USA is a generous amount according to the veterinarians. There are more owners that have pet insurance in Europe because of a law enforced in 1971 that made the owners responsible for any accident to the pet, just like a car wreck. Thus many of them rushed to get a Third Party Insurance for their pets.

It is possible that 10 people may have 10 different opinions about these policies. Some owners are lunatic about their pets. They get the best for their pets, be it food, water, bed or even medical claims. They even rush their pets to vets in case of mild sneezing and cough and thus settle for no less than the best policy and thus endorse the pet medical policy. If you go to one of those, they may fly a few pamphlets at you about pet care and may even ask their pet insurance agent to contact you. They may be giving heavy amounts on pet insurance, if not always, the may be quite more often.

Yet another creed of owner expects the best but can not afford them, economically. They may expect you to have the same policy as they had. If you put $30 for its self insurance, then you can pay an extra for its routine check up and a few falls down the road. This policy of self insurance can be productive, but a sudden accident can not be covered by it. You may not have enough money to treat him well. You may have spent your pet’s money on family vacation.

You can look into the house owner’s policy to see any claims covered if your pet destroys your furniture. Then too, if it bites a person he will ask for a claim reimbursement. Finding that no house owner’s policy governs this, the best you can do is getting a pet insurance policy.
