Dog vomiting is a very common activity observed in almost all pet dogs. It is just a natural reaction caused primarily due to intake of some indigestible food. Eating too fast or too much of dry food may also cause vomiting.

Feeding smaller chunks of dry food may help. Soaking dry food before feeding is also a good idea.

Although occasional dog vomiting is not a serious issue, frequent instances of vomiting require medical treatment.

If your dog vomits, it may cause you a little embarrassment but it may not be a serious concern to its health.

Among multiple types of dog worms are round worms, hook worms, tape worms, and ring worms. Round worms are the most common among all. Pot belly in the pet dogs is a clear indication of the existence of worms in its anatomic system.

Getting rid of dog worms therefore is essential. Worming medications such as albendazole or mebendazole can get rid of the worms. Also getting the worming shot for the new born puppies is one of the surest methods of preventing dog worms.

Foods generating empty calories are naturally harmful for the pet health and needs to be avoided. These calories lack the beneficial nutrients necessary for good health like vitamins, mineral, and amino acids. Corn and rice therefore not the right food for pets though they may be cheaper.

Corn and rice based diets can create symptoms like bloating, gas, diarrhea, and mal-digestion in the pet and are naturally harmful ingredients for pet health that needs to be avoided.

The American Kennel Club is one organization that is affiliated to registering the breeds of dogs. Many of the breeds are already registered with them and those who are not such as the hybrid ones, feel offended and outsider. Besides, all this only the members have the knowledge of what the organization is all about.

The American Kennel Club is the only organization in the world that registers the breed of dogs. By 2004, it had only 9000 registered dogs. It is also one of the largest dog shows’ organizers in the world. The renowned Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and AKC/Eukanuba National Championships are conducted by AKC.

The AKC has been doing this job of pup registration for over 120 years. In 2006 it got into a pact with Petland, the pet mega store, but the alliance broke off after a long controversy. Apart from the above said, the AKC also takes care of the canine health research program. The owners are the real observers of the advertising and research work done by AKC.

Owing to high veterinary services, AKC has now launched the pet insurance scheme. It can bring down the cost of veterinary help, considerably. They even reimburse the owners in case of disclaimer.

Recently, they paid $2,200.00 to one of their clients of a bee sting to his dog. They also reimbursed $2,600 to the customer for poison toadstools. They also paid back $1262 for snake bite, $2,000 for intestinal resection & $2,800 for ruptured ligament. The biggest of them all was of $3329 for vertebral disc rupture.

According to their Essential plan, AKC states that 68 cents are spent on each dog each day. They have various plans to give back the expenses for investment on dog’s dental cleaning, shots, and checkup. You can pay back monthly or yearly installments in lieu of this insurance policy. These schemes are also valid for cats & each come with a 60 days trial period.
